Preschool Dance Classes

At Center Stage Dance, our preschool dance classes give toddlers and young kids ages 2.5–6 a place to discover movement, music, and dance while still giving them plenty of room to be little.

They'll build coordination, learn the beginnings of dance technique, make friends, and gain confidence along the way. Most importantly, we want their first experience with dance to be one they can't wait to come back to.

Wondering What to Expect?

Does My Child Need Dance Experience?

Nope. Preschool classes are designed for beginners and we'll teach them everything they need along the way.

What If My Child Is Shy or Nervous?

Completely normal. Some dancers jump right in and others need time to get comfortable. Our teachers help them learn the routine of class and build confidence at their own pace.

What Should My Dancer Wear?

Each class has its own attire and shoe requirements, and we'll make sure you know exactly what your dancer needs.

Can We Try a Class First?

Absolutely. A Discovery Class lets your dancer experience a regular Center Stage class before you decide if you'd like to enroll.

Which Preschool Class Is Right for My Child?

Whether you're looking for your toddler's very first dance class or your preschooler is ready to explore ballet and tap, we'll help you find the right place to start.

Creative Movement | Ages 2.5–4

Our youngest dancers start with Creative Movement, where dance fundamentals and terminology are introduced through age-appropriate movement, music, imagination, and activities designed just for little dancers.

Ballet & Tap | Ages 4.5–6

As dancers grow, Ballet & Tap introduces more structured technique and terminology while keeping class engaging and age-appropriate. Dancers explore both styles while continuing to build confidence, coordination, and classroom skills.

They’re Learning Dance. And So Much More.
